I bought this wonderful title a while ago, and I realized I haven't reviewed it. After seeing it on sale again, I thought to submit a review.
If you're finding about this for the first time, I highly recommend you check out the original source, 5 Centimeters per Second. It's a gorgeous work of art created by the director of Your Name and Weathering with You. This was one of his earlier works, and IMO, I prefer it in some ways over the aforementioned two.
I won't go into the story for spoilers, but 5 Centimeters per Second had a few adaptations over the years. There's the original film on DVD/Blu-Ray, and there's a manga adaptation. There's also a light novel of the original story.
This novel can be seen as a companion piece to the original sources. It's more or less a re-telling of the original source through the viewpoints of other major characters. For whatever it's worth, I recommend checking out the source first, but this is a wonderful story about young love and time.
